Daftar Lengkap Nominasi Oscar 2022, 'The Power of Dog' dan 'Dune' Terbanyak

Academy Awards baru saja merilis daftar para peraih nominasi untuk bersaing di tiap kategori Piala Oscar 2022. Fim western garapan Jane Campion “The Power of the Dog” dan film fiksi ilmiah Denis Villeneuve “Dune” pun mendominasi daftar tersebut.

Dikutip dari Associated Press,  "The Power of the Dog" dari Netflix memimpin nominasi ke Academy Awards ke-94 dengan 12 nominasi, termasuk film terbaik, sutradara terbaik, dan pengakuan untuk semua aktornya yakni Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons, dan Kodi Smit-McPhee.

Campion sendiri pernah dinominasikan sebagai sutradara terbaik untuk "The Piano" (1993). Ia menjadi wanita pertama yang pernah dinominasikan dua kali untuk sutradara terbaik.

Tahun lalu, Chloé Zhao menjadi wanita kedua yang pernah memenangkan penghargaan tersebut. Direktur fotografi (DoP) Campion, Ari Wegner, juga menjadi wanita kedua yang pernah dinominasikan untuk sinematografi terbaik

Sementara, "Dune" mengikuti di belakang "The Power of Dog" dengan 10 nominasi yang tersebar sebagian besar dalam kategori teknis.

Namun, nama Villeneuve tidak ada di nominasi sebagai sutradara terbaik, terlepas film yang diadaptasi dari novel 1965 karya Frank Herbert tersebut masuk ke kategori film terbaik.
